How to buy fresh things, and HELP at the same time!

Photo shows not just the vegetables, but the Heartbreak of such people, whose goods remain unsold.

AVOID buying Refrigerated veggies from the Super Markets! And, PLEASE Buy Vegetables and things from People like these.

FIRST OF ALL, they will be FRESH. …It would also HELP such People. …Most probably they would be CHEAPER too. Yet, for Gosh Sakes, Do Not Bargain with Them. (It is an Indian ‘Habit,’ You know!)

  1. This is a good post and great advice to all. For the things I have no room to grow myself, I buy
at my local farmers’ market. I find that the produce keeps for longer and I like meeting the person who grew it. I feel we are helping the planet by supporting local growers. Thanks for reminding us.

  2. Thank you for reminding us all of the importance of supporting local producers – particularly those whose lives may depend on sales, as the man in your photo. As for refrigerated vegetables, I refuse to buy them. We don’t even buy fresh fruit and vegetables from supermarkets, preferring our local markets and locally-sourced produce. My heart goes out to people like the one in the photo. For him to be left with unsold produce must be soul destroying.
